JSAudio was started by New York-based audio engineer Josiah Seurkamp. He grew up a musician and eventually moved to New York to chase a career in music production. That led him to fall in love with audio engineering, work with a range of artists, and an internship at Studio G Brooklyn, where he picked up technical education, mixing techniques and helped construct some of their spaces. When it came time to set up his own home studio, he ran into the same wall a lot of engineers hit cables on the market were either overpriced, poorly made, or both. So he started making his own. JSAudio grew from there.
Why JFLEX?
Josiah got tired of the same problems every audio engineer runs into - cables that fail, tangle, color your tone, pick up interference, and disappear into a mess of unlabeled runs. He designed JFLEX the way he wanted cables to be built: clear, rugged, organized and attractive. Every JFLEX cable comes with a lifetime warranty.
Connection Failure
Neutrik CX and PX Connectors are the industry standard. Known for their robust builds and chuck type strain relief. They will have superior life spans than most connectors on the market.
When building, we use marine-grade heat shrink to seal each connection. This is another step not taken by most manufacturers. Giving longer life to JFLEX cables through rugged use.
Tone/Interference
Have you ever noticed the noise that comes from moving your guitar around while plugged into an amp? That microphonic noise is caused by the voltage generated when a cable is flexed, stepped on, etc. Mogami 2524 solved this with a conductive pvc layer placed under the cables shield. Giving you clean and clear tone.
Our balanced cables are made with Mogami 2549. Built with their Neglex OFC and #22AWG conductors. It features very low capacitance giving you accurate frequency response.
Rigidity/Tangling
Techflex sleeving is used to add another layer of protection. Commonly used in industrial and marine grade operations it will add to your cables life span. On top of the attractive colors it adds a very useful layer of anti tangling. Setups and teardowns will be smooth and clean.
Also available without sleeving if you want the look of raw cable.
Personalized
Each JFLEX cable has the option to be labeled with anything you'd like. Whether its a name, position or IO location. This will help you keep track of them when performing, touring and recording. It makes the cable yours.
